Jeff Gordon Makes Guest Appearance at Carolina Kenworth's Open House.
The scene was described as pure excitement for all involved waiting to meet history making Nascar's four time champion Jeff Gordon. It was a chance for those associated with Carolina Kenworth to meet and talk with the Nascar legend. In addition, someone was needed to provide music and to introduce the driver of Hendrick Motorsports #24 car. That job was given to an entertainer known as DJ Mike.
DJ Mike Grier was the only mobile disc jockey chosen out of hundreds in the Carolinas, to formally introduce Jeff Gordon at the open house ceremony. As Jeff exited his Chevrolet Surburban for a brief photo op with Kenworth executives, he then walked over to meet with DJ Mike prior to his introduction.
Next it was DJ Mike's turn to build excitement for an anxiously waiting crowd and to provide music for an autograph session to follow. As a true professional, DJ Mike took the microphone and got the crowd pumped up and off their seats. Mike's years of experience as a "Master Of Ceremonies" paid off as he brought Jeff up to the mic. The event went off without a glitch. Dupont executives present at the ceremony were quite pleased. High praises were conveyed to DJ Mike by Carolina Kenworth officials. In fact, DJ Mike Grier was asked to return to Carolina Kenworth and provide music for an employee appreciation luncheon they were having the next day.
It was a busy week and weekend for DJ Mike, since that was just one of eight events Mike was asked to do in only seven days. As DJ Mike continues to be the most preferred disc jockey entertainer in all of North Carolina & South Carolina.
